Luca Scarpellini was born in February, 12th 1982 in Forlì (Italy). Since he was 13, Luca has had shows all along Italy as a juggler and equilibrist. After putting off juggling balls and clubs and giving up the studies at the local engineering University, he took his degree summa cum laude in scenography at Libera Accademia di Belle Arti di Brescia (private accademy of fine arts).

Since 2008, Luca has occasionally worked as a production assistant and casting manager for tv, movie and commercials productions. In this period he also started his career as a designer.

For his brand, useDesign, Luca Scarpellini conceptualizes and handworks all his one-off design pieces, starting from reclaimed and discarded materials, then modifying, assembling and finely painting to obtain extremely stylish items.

Luca Scarpellini pays attention to every moment of the process, from soldering to assembling, from sandblasting to painting, in order to obtain originally and glamorously painted items.
